My name is Dina, and I'm a multidisciplinary artist from Kazakhstan.
I was born and raised in Aktau, a city on the shores of the Caspian Sea. Today, I live and work in Almaty.

For most of my career, I worked as a photographer and filmmaker. I've always loved working with light, color, and composition, but a few years ago I realized that some things simply can't be expressed through a camera. After undergoing cancer treatment, I began dedicating much more of my time to painting. Today, it has become my primary form of creative expression.

Horses are at the heart of my artistic practice.
Growing up, there wasn't a riding stable in my hometown, so all I could do was read books about horses, draw them, and dream of one day riding one myself. Years later, that dream finally came true. I think that's why I still look at horses with the same sense of wonder I had as a child.
In my paintings, I strive to find a balance between anatomical accuracy and expressive color. It's important to me that each horse feels believable and alive, while the painting remains more than just an illustration. For me, color is a way of capturing atmosphere, memory, and the feeling of a particular moment.

When I'm not in the studio, I continue to work as a photographer and filmmaker. I also practice historical fencing, play the piano, and occasionally enjoy spending an evening immersed in a good video game.
